Hi,
I'm new to this site, but great to see these pictures.
I think DC310 was called Born to Run, as I rode it from 76 to 79 at the Pod with a best time of 11.21 and 120.6mph on 60% nitro, as number DC120.
I was not the owner, that was Martin Dudley who raced it at NDRC meetings in 78 & 79.
When I rode it we called it Thor and when Martin rode, it was called Stormy Passage.
It was sold during the winter of 79 / 80.
If you have an LP copy of the rained out Pod meeting, during 77 or 78 I think it was, you can hear me up against John Hobbs in qualifying, where John ran a low 9, much quicker than me of course (I wouldn't mind getting a copy of that LP as my copy has long gone).
I won one Junior Bike Pod meet using Tom Vivian's clucth plates as mine were burnt out.
I have some black and white pictures that Keith Simmonds took which I will try to post.
Any idea who I am?

Wow, very good, but I was known as Bob then before my wife changed it to Rob.
What gave the game away?
I will try to send a few black n white pictures, if you want?
I just need to reduce their file sizes to e-mail them.
Regards
Rob

Rob
Too much info: the years you raced, name of bike and race number!
I looked at some old race programmes I found online!

Looking forward to seeing some photos

This was Rob entry for the best dressed pit crew award
Martin, the bike's owner, is wiping the tyre while Paul, his brother, waves to the crowd.
DC310 was longer than DC120, that was because at the end of 1978 Dick Talbot and Patrick Neal took the bike and extended the frame.
The new frame had twin down tubes and now the fuel was in the top tube, but oil was still in the back tube.
IDC120 was bought by Simon Glover.

Hi,
Thanks for posting the pictures.

We did have some good racing against Jim, who won more races, I'm not sure, but they were close.
