The dragster is the Sinclair and Little Injected Chevy, may have been me driving on this occasion as I used a black helmet but Ray (Little) had a clour matched dome.

Oh well you can only go with what's in the programme! Thanks for the correction.

When Santa Pod published there programme's in the early eighties they never used to put race numbers to any of the foreign racers so I'm a bit stumped on these from 1980 (I think) out of Doug's collection. And as for the clever marketing of the SP Batteries sign. Whoever sold them that space earn't there monies worth as its a bugger when taking photos of cars in the far lane as it gets in the way of every start line shot.

Well we know this belongs to Paul Manders who I'm still told has it in a lock up in Blackpool. Sadly my e-mail messages to Paul's son always go answered as seeing the old Time & Motion back at the track would make for a great conversation piece.

This would have been a nice shot of Pete Crane's Hustler except for that bloody SP sign again.

Looks like they were all taken at the Sept '80 World Series meet. They're all fuel funny cars, top is the Camaro of Stigge Hansson from Sweden then Rune Fjeld in the Landlubber Mustang...

I'd agree - and Andersson was running in the HR&C Funny Car eliminator (got through to the semis)

A few from the 1980 Summer Internationals at Santa Pod (July 5th/6th) and the debut of the new state of the art Phelps/Herridge Gladiator '80 Trans Am. I'm I right in thinking this was an ex 240 Gordie Bonin Pontiac? And whatever happened to the body or was it butchered to make way for another body in later life!
