Not everything made sense in the seventies .. especially CC to me as a schoolboy. Anyway looking at those results from the Nottingham Show.. best appearing car in Show - Glyn Dobinson - Shotgun T, Best Street car -
Glyn Dobinson - Shotgun T. .... Then best Model T - Pete Farries - Black Widow. Hey?
I thought the Shotgun T was a later creation .. was the car in a 78 issue of HR&CUK the original .. or mk11? - NICK!?!!

It was the original 1972 car which in 1978 was owned by Keith McCormick and it's still about. This pic was taken by Dave Hodge from the NSRA Forum at the Surrey Street Rodders Wheelsday this year Image

I was asking earlier about drag demonstrations,I came across a feature in Dec 68 Drag Racing and Hot Rod about a demo at a race meeting at Silverstone featuring 12 cars including Commuter,Invader and the wheelie Stingray, but I'm looking for info on this tough looking Pop,it looks LHD so maybe Don Davis was a US serviceman who brought the car to the UK,any ideas

Someone mentioned earlier about the non existent Doncaster Custom Show earlier in this thread. Well I've found a few photos from an early eighties show. Can't pin it down as I bought the photos from an e-bay auction and there wasn't any dates on the envelopes. I say early eighties as Des Taylor's 'Revel Rebel' Pop is the clue and featured on the New York Dragway stand.
