chears TT and everybody else for posting.
I see in the drag racer mag 2 Jags were going to be tryed in the FD Victor and it also mentions A.T.V Midlands was going to make a film of it,wonder if it was ever done.

I seem to recollect that ATV Midlands did actually film this feature at either Long Marston or Silverstone with Brian Richards and the stations sports presenter and drag racing fan Trevor East before moving on to bigger and better things as a co-presenter for Saturday kids show TISWAS with Chris Tarrent and Sally James. I'll have to look through my collection of MDRA - Midlands Drag Racing Association - newsletters.

1975 was the year the wheelie Vauxhall was shown on local TV. The film was also repeated on 'Tiswas' according to the stash of MDRA newsletters I have managed to keep all these years.

One car thats been missing from this great thread has been Stripteaser, here's a brilliant photo of the car wheels high against Trackshun Ackshun II. Can someone tell me what body that is on TA2?

Great pic Jon that's the first pic I've seen of Trackshun Ackshun II with that body on it although I have some movie footage of it on one of my DVDs and funnily enough I was contacted recently by the son of one of the guys that ran the car and I asked him what the body was as I've always wondered and he tells me it's a Bond Equipe. I think they only used that body for the first few meets of '75 as by July it was replaced by a Bantam and the previous year it was an Austin 1100

Hmm, The Bond was a glass body for the road? Seem to think the earlier Bond cars were 3 wheelers .. hence the late 4 wheel glass shells. Never seen the car in that guise before!

The road going version's were Triumph Herald based, so the chassis rusted as quick as it was repaired!

Well my daughter (26) found this and was highly amused. The Altereds "Muscle Sprout" (JCA 4) Alfa Romeo 6 cylinder 2600cc then went on to Rover V8 (DCA 4). I then put on the TR7 shell to become "Vicious Trait" (ECA 74). It wheelied because it was light and had maximum engine set back, once I had the axle narrowed and M & H's fitted on the Wolfrace alloys. I kept the wheelie bars set high so that it would go up off the start line - as it was not quick enough to win I thought at least people would watch me at the start!!
I did sell the car to some one in London, then Simon, John Wilkin, "Pud" - Swatland and I (Leicester Rod and Custom Club) bought it back and raced it - then Simon bought it from us.
I then built and raced the V8 "Super Sprite V8" in the Rover championship (Still have the car). The "Super B" MGBGT was then built and raced - and sold to another London based father and son - where is it now??
