does anybody know what goverment playing at ?.
they shortlisted thockmorton,fradley and longmarston for a final vote so they can use the airfield as an ecotown???
it was shown on 'midland today' tonight at 10.30pm.

Do I know anything! Well yes I do and it doesn’t involve Long Marston Airfield but the former MOD Army Camp a mile down the road. The BBC's Midlands Today programme got their facts wrong. So don't panic Mr Mainwaring. The drag strips safe.

The first thing that comes into my mind, is 6000 more residents to complain about the noise. Particularly if the new residents have chosen the 'Eco- development' as it square's with their views on the future of the planet.
Looking at the positive, there's bound to be petrolheads (however conflicting that may be for the green side of their conscience) amongst the new residents. A bigger gate and continuity at Shakey hopefully!
