A bit blurred but Midas Touch gets a holeshot on an Aston Martin DB4 Zagato about 1969.
Skinner brothers ran the Midas cars for years and the Aston,I think, was run by Jack Le ??.

I think that's Tom Leake in the Aston... Jack Le Fort always ran Ferraris as far as I know...

You're right TT ,I'd forgot about Tom Leake-It seems funny now but there was some, what are now expensive, classics running at early Pod meets-Jack Pearce's Ferraris,Gerry Belton's Cobra,Gerry Tyack's Porsche 906/8 , Martin Kent's Gordon Keeble and Facel Vega all spring to mind.
Cheers

I think I'd go for the Ginetta , another shot next to the Fiat, I wondered about the SUs on the Ginetta could it have been Rover powered or perhaps trying a Rover inlet manifold on the Buick. I wouldn't say no to the Fiat if it was in this condition

Thanks jaytee,I heard the Fiat had been restored but had'nt seen any photos-It certainly looks the business probably better than new!
I think the Ginetta was always entered as Buick-powered so the SU's could just be something he was trying out.
Cheers

I found out today that Des Tayor's Pinto got broken up. And did anyone win it in the great Revell Model Kits competition?
