I was level to where the third picture of Bootsies roll over was taken, the one with the wheels way up, with more to come!, and still think of his smile when he climbed out and walked back to the start line, as if it was no big deal, which with his driving experience probably was not.

Different styles but two great performers that sadly are no longer with us but not forgotten

Those are excellent photos Jon and thanks to Stave Hayes for allowing the nostalgia world access to them. I wasn't there when Bootsie rolled Gladiator. I have seen a few black and white shots and also some film footage on one of Nick's Time Travel DVD's but these are excellent and well captured.

Sammie usualy drove it one handed with the other covering the chute.....i recall him telling Liz he counted then hit the lever.

Interesting in the Bootsie pics that he has the butterflys wide open in the burnout.... :D

How times have changed they hardly open now with the throttle stop......
