Jerry, I believe those photos were taken at the 1988 Ramsey sprint.I have the programme for that meeting, and if I am correct regarding the year, I can add the following info.

Super Nero was ridden by son Tony Brown but he broke it during the meeting. He also ran Nero to a 9.06 over the eighth. 67 was Robert Rushton on his 500cc 1934 Rudge. 65 was Colin Clifford 600cc 1926 Douglas. 42 was Dave Madden 500cc Hagon-JAP. Dave is still around but no longer sprinting. About 6 years ago, it was Dave who sold me the bulk of my collection of The Sprinter. 70 is David Dickinson 750cc DFD BMW. 60 was Andy Spencer 998cc Vincent. Unsure about the next one without doing some research. In the programme, an APS222 (not BPS222) was listed as Denis Cheeseman. Maybe the son of ex drag racers Ron and Joan? FTD went to Pip Higham turbo 1425 Suzuki at 6.29/127.

The meeting report in The Sprinter states that there were 20,000 spectators lining the track both sides as far as the braking area! It also says that the track length may have been a bit longer that an eighth!

Thanks Clive for the info. I'm sure you're records are as good as ever now that you have nailed the event to 1988. Sadly there's nothing on the packet or anything inside to say what year its from other than a couple of road racing photos featuring Joey Dunlop winning the Junior TT as captioned on the reverse side.
