Fascinating insight to that show. I never understood why they went to Jersey in the first place, not much of a market I would have thought.

I wondered why the BDR+HRA paid to get to cars transported there and set up as it looks a well organised display,there used to be a channel island division write up in Drag Racing +Hot Rod magazine so there must have been some interest there
There was a long history of hillclimbing and beach racing in Jersey, and there are some photos in my collection of hillclimb events – maybe there was some personal links between the organisers?
I know there were several competitors used to travel over from the Channel Islands late 60s/early 70s:One I recall was Peter Wilson, came from Guernsey with the Martini special, a 650 Triumph powered gocart styled machine that was also used for sprint/hillclimbs over there.

A couple of photos, I think this was at Ally Pally Custom Car Show.. (though it may have been NEC International bike show) I do have some from Ally Pally and will add another time.. My first offering is of Terry Revill's double engined Kawasaki. The rope spoils one photo and the other is poorly exposed... sorry! Theres also a pic of the bike on what I think was a maiden run...
