I've been involved with (classic/vintage) Sprinting for around 20 years. Its a place where some of yesteryear's drag bikes and sprint bikes still get exercised, and, being grass-roots, it has that friendliness characteristic too.
I've dug out some photos to give an idea of some of the machinery that's still out there, and being given the beans!!
Methamom, blown Vincent, at VMCC Sprint at RAF Wroughton in August 2011.
Alongside is the Booth Matchless 500 outfit.
As well as being ridden at the Wroughton 1/4 mile sprint, Chris Illman also rode it (the Booth Matchless) at the Pendine Landspeed Racing Club event at Pendine Sands in June of 2013.
