Jerry - not sure about the Jap sprinter in the top two pics.

The CBX Honda at Brighton I suspect is Len Paget, who ran one way back.

Bottom pic is mister Hobbs double Triumph from around 1973-4.

The colourful jumper in my shot was being worn by probably the best bike holeshotter of his era - Mick Carter - here mounted on his Norton Commando street bike.

He sure was knocked me out in the first round of elims at the easter pod meet in 74... must dig out the pic of his bike when it looked rather more stock than it does in yours Keith.

Possibly, those photos were taken at an early NSA sprint as Brian was the National Sprint Association Assistant Secretary in 1963. There appear to be marquees and tents in the background of one of those photos, so maybe taken at the Debden Gala of Motor Sport in the mid 1960's?

I thought the Ariel Square 4 No5 might have been Dennis Norman but a quick look in Keith's book show's different,I think No6 looks like the Norton-JAP Thor, here's a recent magazine feature

yes they're mainly NSA Sprints Clive, some of Brian's pics have a few notes on the back including Duxford, Church Lawford, Wiscombe and Wellsbough. Do you know if bikes kept the same race numbers at NSA meets or did they change from meet to meet?
