Today we got a taste of what we’ve been looking forward to ever since it was announced months ago and that was when the fuel altered’s of Rat Trap and Pure Hell from the USA took to the Santa Pod blacktop for a couple of checkout pass and didn’t disappoint.
Both cars sounded awesome on the burnouts and weaved
down the 1320 with Brian Hope in Pure Hell clocking 204mph and that’s just in practice.
This meeting has the feel of the “Old Days” we talk about so much with that added American ingredient that we love and remember so get to Santa Pod tomorrow and experience this for yourself because it’s gonna be great
With only a week to go before the biggest nostalgia drag racing event ever to be held in the UK I thought it would be cool to ask Rat Trap Racing’s Brian Hope a few questions.
Todays picture is of the Detroit Spinner car that once belonged to Arthur Bonner and is now run by Nigel Taylor.
